Happy Happy Birthday!

Hello friends,

Today is a bittersweet day for me as I am pretty excited to share with you my very FIRST Design Team project for Pattie's Creations I ache for the loss of my friend/sister Liz... she was also part of the Pattie's Design team and the very reason I was even considered to be part of these amazing team. I have no words to describe how I feel about losing her and I'm not going to try to explain it now because I know she knew what she meant and means to me... all I can say is that the pain is unbearable but I'm taking it one day at a time and I'm honoring her by keep on crafting....

...Today's theme is Happy Birthday.... so I made this beautiful card using one of Pattie's digi stamps called Sunflowers in Vase, you can find it at her store Pattie's Creations Digital Stamps along with thousands of other wonderful images... so without further ado here is my card....

I used Kraft cardstock for my base, Sun Kiss Collection 6"x6" pattern paper by Prima, I colored my image with my COPIC markers Y02-Y17-Y38, G07-G16, E47 & B00, ribbon from my stash and some Recollection pearls... I don't know if you guys can appreciate the water effect on the vase but for that I used Liquid Glass by Close to my Heart... here is a close up picture.

My husband and I celebrated our 10th Anniversary by going out to eat with the family and this is a picture of us on that day which happened to be on his birthday... yup we got married on his birthday... what a cliche lol ... anyways everything on my page is from my scraps... even the background is a piece of cardstock and pattern paper glued together.... hope you guys like it.

What are you working on???

Morning my peeps,

I know it looks like I've only been doing blog hops lately but they are so freaking fun... I get to work with so many talented ladies that it feels amazing. Anyhow... I just wanted to share my second attempt at a mixed media project... so remember that awesome group I mentioned about D'Orignal Latin Scrap Divas??? No? Well it doesn't matter; we kind of regroup and we are working on this mixed media chipboard swap... it's a 4" x 5" piece of chipboard with no specific theme... so you know how I love Gorjuss girls and pinkkkk lol well let me show you....

 Weeeell... what do you think?????

 Let me explain my masterpiece now lol.... 4"x5" chipboard covered with pink tissue paper which gives it a little texture, for the flourish on the background I used the Floral and Stone Impressabilities with Vintage photo distress ink; I must say; it created an awesome background... a cake dollie I had in my stash I glimmer mist everything with glitter and then mosh posh everything (somehow I don't like the look of the mosh posh it looks like it's I don't know weird, maybe I'm not using correctly any suggestions?) used white paper flowers which I glitter glimmer mist and rubbed a little bit of the ink in my misting box and a small pink paper flower from my stash.... what else? ohhh my lovely stick pins made by me of course :) and  my pretty pretty Puddles of Love Gorjuss stamp... that went great with the sentiment... and how my life have been for the past year... stormy and rocky but here I am trying to make the best of it.... OK I think I have bored you guys enough lol... leave me some love and see you guys soon.

Jessi's Halfway to 50 Blog Hop
